「幽玄」・・・文芸・絵画・芸能・建築等、諸々の芸術領域における日本文化の基層となる理念の一つ。本楽曲は、西洋音楽の語法を用いながらも、古来より受け継がれてきた日本的な美を追及したものである。
低音が魅力的である二尺一寸管の尺八が趣深い世界観を彩り、ピアノによっていっそう優美さ、嫋やかさが加えられた、深遠で幻想的な世界をルーツの違う2つの楽器のアンサンブルによって表現している。

アルトフルートでも演奏可能。
